Halitta, chosen by our founder, Rangtiem Hoomkwap, means “to create” in her great-grandmother's native language, Hausa. For her, Halitta Art is a "long lost dream of mine to create a place for non-traditional artists to flourish. I consider artists to be entrepreneurs—innovative, scrappy, and above all, creative. Halitta represents the community I wish I had to propel me toward my wildest dreams.”
